My Background
I’m Brian, a teacher, professional artist, and, most importantly for you, VR Enthusiast. I bought my first VR headset back in early 2022. It was a Meta Quest 2. I initially purchased it so that I could play Vermillion VR Painting.
Being an artist, I found the idea of painting in VR captivating. Accordingly, I started making step-by-step painting tutorials using Vermillion. Consequently, this led to companies asking to send me accessories to review for the Quest 2. Since then, I have reviewed over 100 accessories for the Quest 2, 3s, and 3. Furthermore, I have also worked with developers helping to review and develop their games, apps, and experiences.
I love the ability of VR to immerse you in something new. My goal with my accessory reviews is to help you get the most out of your VR headset. Therefore, I am working with as many different companies as possible to be able to provide you with reviews of the top accessories.
If you have any questions about anything related to VR, please reach out and I’ll do my best to answer. I know I don’t know everything, but I do have a lot of experience that I hope can help others.
I had combined my art and VR content for a long time on my “Brian Sloan Artist” website and social media accounts. However, in March of 2025, I decided to create a website, YouTube Channel, and social media pages dedicated for my VR content. Being from Canada, I thought the name True North rang well and that is where True North VR was born.
Please go ahead and follow my social media pages and subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you don’t miss anything new from me!
