BOBOVR E3 Pro Head Strap Review – Is This the Best Elite-Style Strap for Meta Quest 3 and 3s?

When it comes to VR accessories, comfort and performance make all the difference. This is especially true for extended gaming sessions or high-movement experiences. The BOBOVR E3 Pro Elite Style Headstrap, officially certified as a Made for Meta product, steps into the spotlight as a serious contender for the best elite strap for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Here’s a deep dive into what makes this strap stand out—and where it might fall just a little short.

📦 What’s in the Box?

Bobovr E3 Pro head strap from Meta Quest 3 and 3s. Everything in the box.

In the box, you will receive the following:

  • E3 Pro Head Strap
  • B100 Battery (with manual)
  • Charging Cable for Battery
  • Honeycomb replacement Pad
  • User Manual

✅ Official Made for Meta Certified

BOBOVR didn’t cut corners with the E3 Pro. As an official Made for Meta accessory, it meets Meta’s rigorous safety and quality standards. That means you’re getting a product that integrates seamlessly with your headset, without worrying about compatibility issues or sketchy third-party builds.

This is important because you can be assured that no corners were skipped and that the quality is high. Batteries aren’t something to mess around with, and knowing that the B100 batteries by Bobovr are safe for your Meta Quest 3 or 3s is important.

🏃 Elite Design for Active and Extended Play

The E3 Pro is crafted with a streamlined, lightweight form designed for high-mobility VR sessions. Whether you’re smashing your exercise milestones in Les Mills: Bodycombat or slicing beats in Beat Saber, this strap keeps up. And thanks to the integrated B100 battery system, you get improved weight distribution and a power setup that’s made for marathons, not sprints.

I’ve used this for many workouts in VR and did enjoy using it. If we talk about weight, it comes in at about 450 grams with the battery. Overall, that weight isn’t bad. Their S3 Pro is about 550 grams. However, there are lighter battery head straps on the market. The Kiwi Design K4 Boost rolls in at about 350 grams. This weight is something I noticed when doing very active games.

🔋 BOBOVR B100 Hot-Swappable Battery System

Bobovr B100 Battery for S3 and E3 Pro Head Straps

This is where the E3 Pro really shines. The 10,000mAh hot-swappable battery system allows you to swap batteries on the fly without taking off your headset. With 22.5w fast charging and a real-time power display, it boosts your Quest 3’s battery life by 135% and the Quest 3s by a whopping 150%. No more session-ending power cuts—just keep a spare battery handy and play on.

The head strap comes with one battery. You can buy extra batteries directly from their website or from Amazon. They are $40 USD or $63 CAD. With multiple batteries, if one dies, you can easily swap it out and keep gaming. This basically allows for endless gaming sessions!

🎧 Built-in 3.5mm Audio Jack

Bobovr E3 Pro Audio Jack

Quest 3s users can be thankful. This headstrap comes with a built-in 3.5mm audio port, giving you expanded audio options where the headset falls short. Whether you’re using wired headphones or external audio devices, this feature alone can significantly enhance your immersion. I found it to be a very innovative idea. Bobovr saw the need and they filled it.

💺 Comfort That Lasts

From the large, flexible crown padding to the ultra-soft rear cushion, BOBOVR put real thought into comfort. The flat back design even makes it possible to lie down with your headset on—great for more passive VR experiences or media viewing. The dial adjustment system provides a snug, customizable fit for a variety of head sizes.

I found the back padding to be one of the most comfortable on the market. I didn’t use the hexagonal option that much as I preferred the thick cushion provided.

Where to Buy the Bobovr E3 Pro

You can find the Bobovr E3 Pro on their website and on Amazon. I highly recommend checking both, as they often have sales at different times. Some of these are affiliate links, so I will get a small commission if you use them!

📝 My Review: One of the Best—But Not Without A Couple of Tradeoffs

After extensive use, I can confidently say the BOBOVR E3 Pro is possibly the best elite-style headstrap on the market. The hot-swappable battery system is a game-changer, and the rear pad cushion is among the most comfortable available.

The added audio jack is perfect for Quest 3s users, and the overall construction feels premium. That said, there are a few caveats:

  • Slightly heavier than other elite straps, though not enough to be uncomfortable.
  • The design is a bit bulkier, which might be a downside for some.
  • Price is high: at $126 CAD or $80 USD, it’s more expensive than the Kiwi Design K4 Boost ($70 CAD). That said, occasional sales can bring them closer in price.

Despite these drawbacks, the overall performance, build quality, and features of the E3 Pro make it one of the top-tier headstrap choices for both Meta Quest 3 and 3s users.
