AMVR FC4L Facial Interface for Meta Quest 3 – Best Budget Facial Interface

Share:

The AMVR FC4L , in my opinion, is the best budget facial interface for your Meta Quest 3 headset. Improving comfort in VR is one of my top priorities. The stock facial interface for the Meta Quest 3 has thin padding, flimsy adjustments, and is hard to clean. For under $20, the FC4L will make your experience so much better. Let’s break it down so I can show you why.

Watch the hands on video or read below for my experience.

Design Review

The AMVR FC4L packs a lot into its design. First, it is loaded with ventilation all around the interface. These vents allow for more airflow which will reduce fogging of lenses and overall sweat. I didn’t have any issues with light leaking through the vents when playing.

Another important feature is the adjustability of the distance from your face to the headset. The FC4L has dials on each side of the interface that you can turn to increase or decrease the distance from your eyes/face to the lenses/headset. Comparing this to the stock facial interface is like a night and day difference. With nine difference notches, this feature allows you to personalize the distance to get the max FOV when playing. It’s also perfect for glasses or prescription lens insert users as they can easily adjust the distance to what is needed while still maximizing their FOV.

The FC4L only comes with one type of padding, the AMVR leather pad. Its thickness is much better than the stock interface. This type of material is good as well for people who want to easily be able to clean their interface. Just grab a wipe and that’s all you need. The padding is removable via velcro for a deeper clean or a replacement if needed.

Lastly, the FC4L comes with a light blocking piece on the nose. This didn’t block 100% of the light out but it actually did a very good job for the simple design. This helps improve immersion in the VR experience.

Price

The full price of this facial interface on Amazon is $18. To get this quality of facial interface sub $20 is awesome. In my opinion, it makes it almost a no brainer if you are wanted a more comfortable experience but don’t want to spend the $40+ on some of the other brands.

Comparison to Other AMVR Facial Interfaces

AMVR has a full line up of interfaces and have been one of the top producers of quality facial interfaces for all Meta Quest headsets.

Verdict

If you want a simple upgrade that will give a big return in comfort for your Meta Quest 3, the FC4L is definitely the way to go. The ventilation, better light blocking, thicker & easier to clean padding, and the price makes this decision an easy one for someone on a budget.
