If you’re a fan of VR boxing games like Thrill of the Fight, Creed, or BoxVR, you’ve probably dreamed of making the experience feel even more authentic. Enter the Ultimate Boxing Gloves by DeadEyeVR — a clever hybrid of real boxing gloves and VR controller mounts designed to take your virtual punches to the next level. Not only can they be used with boxing games, but exceed expectations in exercise games like Les Mills Body Combat, etc. Here is my full review of the Deadeye VR Boxing Gloves!
Real Boxing Gloves for a Virtual Fight
Unlike silicone grips or plastic accessories, the Ultimate Boxing Gloves are genuine boxing gloves, similar to what real fighters use in the ring. From the moment you put them on, they bring an undeniable sense of weight and realism that standard VR controllers simply can’t replicate. That added heft does wonders for immersion — you feel like you’re in a match, not just playing a game.
The padding is solid, the material is durable, and they are comfortable to wear. Overall a great design and feel.

Designed for Multiple Headsets
DeadEyeVR didn’t cut corners on compatibility. These gloves are built for:
- Meta Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3s, and Quest Pro
- Valve Index
- Oculus Rift S
Each version comes with a smart integration solution:
- Quest users get an elastic controller cup and cinch strap that securely mount the controllers inside the glove.
- Valve Index users can simply slide their controllers in — no straps necessary.

Function Meets Functionality

One standout design feature is the open thumb area and finger hole. It’s a subtle touch, but an important one. This allows you to access your controller’s face buttons without removing the glove — a big deal when navigating menus or quickly adjusting settings mid-workout.
However, there’s a bit of a learning curve:
Pro Tip – Insert your controllers into the gloves before putting them on. Trying to do one hand at a time can be frustrating, especially if you’re in a hurry.
I learned quite quickly that installing one controller, putting on the glove, and then trying to do the other is quite difficult. I then put both controllers into the gloves first and then did my hands. This worked much better.
VR Boxing Gloves In-Game Performance

Once everything is set up and calibrated in your game of choice, the Ultimate Boxing Gloves really shine. Punches feel more grounded, dodging becomes more instinctive, and that satisfying “pop” when you land a clean hit just hits different. They’re not just for immersion either — you can play longer thanks to the more natural wrist position and glove padding.
Great Value for Immersive Fitness
At $50 CAD, these gloves offer an impressive upgrade for anyone serious about VR fitness or boxing sims. They add tangible realism without breaking the bank.
If you are into VR Boxing or Exercise games, these are definitely an accessory to consider!
Final Verdict
DeadEyeVR’s Ultimate Boxing Gloves are one of the best accessories out there for fans of VR boxing. They’re immersive, well-built, and thoughtfully designed for multiple platforms. While the setup can be a bit fiddly at first, the payoff is absolutely worth it.
👍 Recommended for:
- VR fitness enthusiasts
- Boxing sim fans
- Anyone looking to level up their immersion
👎 Not ideal for:
- Casual players who don’t want to spend time with setup
- Users who rely heavily on thumbstick/button use during gameplay
Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) – Just shy of perfect due to the minor setup quirk, but a knockout overall.
