Learn how to factory reset your Meta Quest 3, 3s, and 2. This is useful in a few cases. First, if you sell your Quest, you’ll want to factory reset it. Your account and information will be on it unless you do a factory reset. Another instance is if your Quest is crashing super often and the updates don’t seem to fix it. I hope this doesn’t happen to you but sometimes this might be the only fix. And I’ve known some people who just want to wipe it all and start again. To factory reset your Meta Quest, you first need to make sure you have the Horizon App and that your Meta Quest is turned on. Then you can follow these steps:
- Open up the Horizon App on your mobile device.
- Click on the “Devices” icon in the bottom right corner or in the Menu button on the top left.
- Select Your Device
- Click on “Headset Settings”
- Click on “Advanced Settings”
- Click on “Factory Reset”
- Select “Reset”
This will successfully wipe your Meta Quest 3, 3s, or 2. You can then transfer your account to a different device.
