The AMVR FC4A, while still compatible with the S3 Pro fan, relies more on its padding design rather than dedicated airflow channels. Air does circulate, but it isn’t as focused or aggressive as the F3. It really comes down to how tight the facial interface is to your head. Too tight, and it will restrict the airflow. If pure ventilation and air movement are your top priorities, the F3 has the advantage.

This is where the AMVR FC4A pulls ahead.
The Ice Silk fabric used on the AMVR padding makes a real difference in how cool the interface feels during use. With the fan running, the fabric and foam stay noticeably cooler against your face compared to traditional leather. Even though airflow isn’t as strong as the F3, the material itself resists heat buildup far better.
By comparison, the BOBOVR F3’s leather padding is perfectly fine and comfortable, but leather tends to retain warmth over time. Even with good airflow, leather inevitably heats up during longer sessions and made me more sweaty. The fan helps, but the material itself limits how cool it can feel.

Comfort During Long VR Sessions
For extended play sessions, comfort becomes less about airflow and more about skin contact and heat retention. The AMVR FC4A’s Ice Silk padding excels here, staying cool and comfortable even after long periods in VR.
