DeadEyeVR DriVR Ace Golf Club for Meta Quest 3, 3s, Pro – Unboxing, Assembly, Review

Share:

If you’re looking to upgrade your VR Golf game, the DriVR Ace Golf Club by DeadEyeVR is a great option. It’s space efficient, weight adjustable, and feels just like a real golf club. In the video below, I’ll unbox, assemble, show some gameplay with Walkabout Mini Golf and Golf+, and give my review.

Where to Buy

Design & Build Quality

One of the biggest strengths of the DriVR Ace is its simple, no-frills design. The club features a lightweight aluminum shaft that provides good balance while keeping overall weight manageable. This makes it comfortable for longer play sessions without feeling flimsy or toy-like.

The molded golf-style handle feels familiar in the hands and closely resembles a real golf grip, which helps with immersion and swing consistency. DeadEyeVR also includes adjustable weight options, allowing you to fine-tune the feel. The changes aren’t drastic, but they do provide a noticeable difference and are a welcome feature for players who like dialing in their setup.

Tracking & Performance

Tracking is excellent thanks to the open-face design, which allows the Quest 3 and 3s cameras to clearly see the controller LEDs. During testing, tracking remained stable and consistent, even during faster swings, with no noticeable dropouts or misreads.

This makes the DriVR Ace particularly well-suited for competitive or skill-based golf games where accuracy matters.

Setup & Compatibility

Setup is quick and painless thanks to the secure clamp system, which allows you to mount the controller in seconds. Once installed, the controller stays firmly in place and doesn’t shift during gameplay.

A nice bonus: with a slightly longer bolt, the DriVR Ace can be used even if you have a controller grip cover installed. This is something many accessories don’t accommodate.

The club works with both left- and right-handed players and supports the Quest 3, Quest 3s, and Quest Pro, making it a versatile choice if you use multiple headsets or share your setup.

Space-Friendly Design

If you play in a smaller room or limited play area, this is where the DriVR Ace really shines. Its compact length makes it much easier to use safely compared to longer VR golf clubs, while still maintaining a convincing swing feel.

Value

The DriVR Ace isn’t the cheapest VR golf club on the market, but the build quality, reliable tracking, and thoughtful design justify the price. It feels like a premium accessory rather than a budget add-on, and the performance reflects that.

Experience

Walkabout Mini Golf - 50 Top-Selling All-Time Meta Quest Games

I tested the DriVR Ace with Golf+ and Walkabout Mini Golf. Let’s talk about Golf+ first.

The length was a slight hinderance for the full experience in when comparing this club to others that I’ve used. However, with the added weights, I did like the overall weight of the club for full swings. I tried it without the weights and found it to be a too light.

With Walkabout Mini Golf, I enjoyed it with or without the weights. I don’t see the need for extra length with a putt game like this. A golf club attachment that has the real feel grip is all I need for a game like this.

Final Verdict

The DriVR Ace VR Golf Club is an excellent choice for Meta Quest 3 and 3s owners looking for a compact, high-quality golf accessory with strong tracking and easy setup. It’s especially ideal for players with smaller play spaces who still want immersive, realistic golf gameplay.

Pros

  • Excellent tracking with open-face design
  • Compact and space-friendly
  • Secure clamp system
  • Adjustable weight options
  • Comfortable, realistic golf grip

Cons

  • Not the cheapest option
  • Weight adjustments are subtle rather than dramatic
  • Not as realistic as others because of the length

Overall, the DriVR Ace delivers quality, reliability, and realism at a fair price. It’s a strong contender among VR golf club accessories.
