The Best Facial Interfaces for Meta Quest 3 & 3s – Tried and Tested Experience

Share:

If you’re looking for the best facial interfaces for your Meta Quest 3 or 3s, you’ve come to the right place. I have tried and tested experience with about a dozen different interfaces and hope that this information can help you make a decision on which is best for you.

A new facial interface is a must-have accessory in my opinion. The stock facial interface that comes with either the Meta Quest 3 or 3s has poor padding, is hard to clean, and for the Quest 3 version, the built-in spacing system never properly worked for me. There are countless reasons to get a new interface, but I want to compare a wide variety of interfaces that I have both tried and ones that I plan to try soon.

Below you will find a table that compares a bunch of interfaces. Underneath there will be short paragraphs talking about my experiences with each and which ones I think are best. These are ordered from Best to Worst in my opinion! However, it’s important to point out that I think all of these are better than the stock facial interface.

Globular Cluster F3 V3 Facial Interface

Globular Cluster F3 V3 Facial Interface - True North VR Review

The Globular Cluster F3 V3 is all about modularity and is my personal favourite. It uses a magnetic system that allows you to quickly swap padding materials, light blockers, and even run open-face configurations for increased airflow. Depth options and flexible materials make it adaptable to many face shapes. There are three different frame sizes that allow you to pick the one most suitable for your face. It’s an excellent choice for users who like to experiment and fine-tune their setup. The light blocker on the nose is the only one that I’ve consistently used that actually blocks out all of the light. One thing to note though is that it doesn’t not fit with the Bobovr D3 Charging Dock.

AMVR Upgraded Facial Interface (Q3FC3)

This is AMVR’s most versatile traditional facial interface, offering adjustable lens distance and two interchangeable padding materials: PU leather for easy cleaning and ice-silk for improved breathability. Passive ventilation helps reduce fogging, and the overall build feels solid without being overly rigid. It’s a strong choice for users who want customization without relying on active cooling. At the price point it’s at, I think this is the top choice for its bracket.

Only for the Quest 3.

Where to buy:

Oblik Custom Facial Interface

Oblik offers a truly custom solution by creating a facial interface based on a 3D scan of your face. The result is an interface that distributes pressure evenly, improves light blocking, and stays comfortable during long sessions. Its silicone padding uses hex-pattern air pockets to add softness while maintaining structure. This is the most premium option on the list, ideal for enthusiasts who prioritize comfort above all else.

I found the padding to be a little sticky at first, but after some use it became a bit more normal. I still prefer the soft ice-silk padding over this though. At the premium price of $90, it costs to get it. If you share your headset, then having a custom fit interface might not be the best idea either.

BOBOVR F3 Facial Interface (Quest 3)

Bobovr Facial Interface.png

The BOBOVR F3 is designed with cooling in mind, featuring triple airflow channels that pair exceptionally well with active fan head straps like the BOBOVR S3 Pro. Its foam padding provide a comfortable seal without excessive pressure, and the built-in adjustment dials allow you to fine-tune lens distance for comfort, FOV, or glasses. It’s one of the best options if heat buildup is your main concern, but it’s limited to Quest 3 only. If you aren’t using the BOBOVR S3 Pro though, this facial interface is comparable to the AMVR Upgraded interface.

Where to Buy:

AMVR FC4A Ventilated Facial Interface (Quest 3)

The FC4A is AMVR’s newest and most airflow-focused design, created specifically to work with fan-equipped head straps like the BOBOVR S3 Pro. Extra vent openings align with downward airflow from the strap fan, making it one of the most effective passive interfaces for cooling when paired with the right head strap. I haven’t tested this one yet personally, but will be shortly (it’s in the mail!).

Where to buy:

HiBloks Facial Interface with Fan (Quest 3)

The HiBloks interface adds active cooling at a more affordable price point, using a built-in fan to circulate air and reduce lens fog. It comes with both a leather and an icy-silk fabric padding. The fan has two speed settings. It can also be detached from the facial interface if you don’t want to use it and don’t want the extra weight on there. Overall, this is one of the more comfortable ones I’ve tested.

KKCOBVR K3/K3S Facial Interface with Fan

The KKCOBVR K3/K3S stand out thanks to the built-in fan, which actively pushes air through the interface to reduce fogging and heat. This makes it especially appealing for intense games or long workouts where passive ventilation isn’t enough. It’s available in both Quest 3 and Quest 3S versions and doesn’t require a special head strap to benefit from active cooling. The fan has two speeds but unlike the Hibloks, it can’t be removed when you don’t want to use it. I do like the sleeker design though compared to the Hibloks. This one also only comes with the a leather padding.

Official Meta Open Facial Interface

Meta Open Facial Interface for Meta Quest 3

Meta’s Open Facial Interface is designed for airflow and awareness rather than immersion. Its open frame allows for better peripheral vision and significantly improved ventilation, making it ideal for mixed-reality apps or active room-scale gameplay. It’s also fully compatible with Meta’s official charging dock and carrying cases, making it a safe and polished first-party option — but it’s Quest 3 only. I haven’t personally tested this one yet. I hope to soon!

Where to buy:

Kiwi Design V3/V4 Facial Interface

Kiwi Design’s V3/V4 focuses on clean design and comfort, using wide PU leather padding and a vented structure to reduce heat buildup. Installation is quick and easy, and the overall feel is balanced and consistent. While it doesn’t offer advanced cooling or adjustability, it’s a dependable mid-range option that works well for most users. It’s a better interface than the stock interface but doesn’t offer as many options as others.

APEXINNO Facial Interface

APEXINNO offers a budget-friendly upgrade that improves comfort and airflow over the stock interface. It features PU leather with memory foam padding, top and bottom vents, and a detachable nose pad to help block light. The Quest 3 version does offer adjustability but the Quest 3s doesn’t.

SUPERUS Facial Interface

SUPERUS keeps things simple with a one-piece PU leather facial interface that improves comfort, sweat resistance, and light blocking compared to the stock pad. Passive vents help with airflow, and the thicker cushioning reduces pressure during longer sessions. It’s a great no-frills replacement for users who just want something better than stock at a low price.
