Here is a quick video and instruction on how to enable and disable the new user interface that comes with the V83 Update on your Meta Quest 3 or 3s head set. I’ve heard mixed reviews from various VR users about this new change. Personally, I don’t mind the look of things but I think there are some changes that could be made. Overall, the look is cool though!
Steps the Enable/Disable the New UI on Meta Quest 3 and 3s
- Open up your settings menu
- Scroll on the left-hand side down to “Experimental”
- Part way down you will see the option to toggle the new UI on or off
The head set will require a restart when changing between the two.
After taking away all of the old Virtual Environments, I was surprised to see the option between the two User Interfaces. Personally, I’m going to stick with the new one, but I know many people that will be happy with access to the old one.
