Pairing controllers to your Meta Quest 3, 3s, or Pro is a simple process once you know how to do it. Sometimes the controllers just disconnect for some reason and need to be repaired. Or for others, you might have had to purchase new controllers and then pair them to your existing Meta Quest head set. Check out the video tutorial below or read further down for the description.
How to Pair Your Controllers to Meta Quest VR

Make sure that you have the Meta Horizon App downloaded on your mobile device. This should already be done but make sure to sign into your account as well. Then follow these steps:
- Turn on your Meta Quest VR headset
- Go into your app and click on the “Devices” icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app
- Click on your device the top of the screen. Make sure it says connected. If not, you will need to connect it
- Scroll down to “Headset Settings”
- Click on “Controllers”
- Click “Pair New Controller”
- Select the type of controller that you are pairing
- Hold down the proper buttons on the controller according to the prompts
- Follow the same for the other controller
- Restart your headset for changes to take effect.
These are the steps you need in order to pair your controllers to your Meta Quest headset.
