Criteria to be Approved for a Refund

There are two main criteria that you must follow in order to get a refund:

1. Have purchased the game or app within the previous 14 days
2. Have played the game for less than 2 hours

When you are planning to return a game, don’t uninstall it or clear your app data. This is used by Meta to process the return.

From my experience, my refunds have been approved within one day. However, it does say 5-7 business days on their website.

There are three ways in which you can request a refund:

1. On the Website
2. On the Mobile App
3. On the Headset

Let’s go through each of them.

How to Request a Refund on the Meta Website

You can go to the Meta Website or just follow this link directly to the Refund Page. Here are the steps:

1. Go to the Refund Page
2. Make sure you are logged into your Meta Account
3. Scroll down and you will see the list of games you can try to refund
4. Select the game you would like
5. Click Request Refund at the bottom
6. Follow the prompts through and continue

How to Request a Refund on the Meta Horizon App

You should already have the Meta Horizon App downloaded on your phone. Make sure you are signed into your account.

1. Open the app
2. Click on the menu button (three lines in the top left on my app)
3. Scroll down to and click on “Purchase History”
4. Click on the three dots beside the game/app you would like to refund
5. Select “Request a Refund”
6. Go through the prompted process

How to Request a Refund on the Meta Quest 3 or 3s

1. Open the Store App
2. In the top right, click on your profile image
3. On the left, click on “History”
4. Click on the three dots beside the game/app you would like to refund
5. Select “Request a Refund”
6. Go through the prompted process

Each of the processes is quite simple really. As I mentioned before, it says expect 5-7 business days for a refund. For the couple of games that I have refunded, the refunds have come within an hour.
