If you play VR golf a lot, the YEZRO Y28 is one of those accessories that quietly makes sessions feel — and swing — more like the real thing. It’s a metal, dual-length golf club attachment that fits Meta Quest 2 / 3 / 3s and Quest Pro controllers (left & right). I’ve been using it for Walkabout Mini Golf and Golf+, and I like it a lot: the length/weight adjustability, grip, and build quality all add up to a premium experience — which explains the $90 price tag (yes, a bit higher than budget sticks, but worth it if you value feel and tracking).
What I Like About The Yezro Y28 VR Golf Club
- Dual lengths: 27″ (full play) and 19″ (tight spaces / portability) — switch quickly depending on your play area.
- 27 in = 68.58 cm
- 19 in = 48.26 cm
- Adjustable weight: Add one 165 g weight and/or two 50 g weights so you can tune the swing feel. The weights work with either length.
- Weight distribution & feel: All the extra mass is at the end, giving a realistic, head-heavy balance and smoother swings.
- 90° controller cup & twist-lock: Keeps the controller facing the headset for reliable tracking and prevents wobble or scratching.
- Build: Metal shaft and a solid, comfortable grip — feels premium in hand.
Weight Calculations (Real Numbers)
The club itself weighs about 420 g (according to my scale at home). Below are the configurations and conversions — helpful if you want to match the feel of a real iron or putter.
| Configuration | Total mass (g) | Ounces (oz) | Pounds (lb) | Increase vs. base |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Base (no extra) | 420 g | 14.82 oz | 0.93 lb | — |
| Base + 1 × 165 g | 585 g | 20.64 oz | 1.29 lb | +39.29% |
| Base + 2 × 50 g | 520 g | 18.34 oz | 1.15 lb | +23.81% |
| Base + 1 × 165 g + 2 × 50 g | 685 g | 24.16 oz | 1.51 lb | +63.10% |
Conversions: 1 g = 0.03527396 oz; 1 lb = 453.59237 g.
Note: Percent increases compare each loaded weight to the base (420 g).
What Those Numbers Mean in Practice
- 420 g (base) — light and very nimble. Great if you prefer quick tempo or long play sessions without arm fatigue.
- 520 g (base + two 50 g) — noticeable weight increase, a nice middle ground for more inertia without bulk.
- 585 g (base + 165 g) — heavier, similar to a mid-iron swing; excellent for players who want a satisfying “clubhead” feel.
- 685 g (all weights) — quite heavy; great for realism and muscle feedback but may cause fatigue over long rounds.
Setup & Installation Guide
Switching between the two lengths or adjusting the weights on the YEZRO Y28 only takes a few minutes. It comes set up to use the short length so I’ll explain how to add the length to get it to 27:. Here’s how to do it safely and effectively:
🔧 Changing Between 27″ and 19″
- Unscrew the golf grip shaft near the midpoint of the club. You may need the larger Allen key to do this
- Hand screw in the extension pole where the golf grip shaft was.
- Reattach and tighten the golf grip to the end of the extension pole until secure.
- Double-check balance: Give it a few light swings to make sure everything feels aligned.
⚙️ Adding or Removing Weights
- Unscrew or screw on the little extension that holds the weights
- To adjust the weights, you need to use the small Allen key to loosen the fastening keeping them secure.
- Insert weights in the following order depending on your preference:
- Start with one 165 g for realistic head-heaviness.
- Add one or both 50 g discs for fine-tuning.
- Tighten the screws securely again.
- Test your swing in the game menu before starting a round.
💡 Pro Tip: You can use any weight configuration with either length. I tend to use the 27″ with 165 g for Golf+ (feels like a 7-iron) and the 19″ with no weights for Walkabout Mini Golf (lighter and faster for putting).
In-Game Performance (Walkabout Mini Golf & Golf+)
- Tracking: Excellent, thanks to the 90° cup that keeps the controller’s IR/optical sensors visible to the headset. No tracking dropouts even with full swings.
- Security: The twist-lock and rubber cup eliminate wobble and protect the controller from scratches — a small feature that makes a big difference.
- Adjustability: Switching between 27″ and 19″ lengths is simple, and you can keep your chosen weight configuration across both setups.
Downsides / Tradeoffs
- Price: At $90, it’s pricier than most budget golf attachments, but the build quality and performance justify it.
- Weight extremes: Using all weights (685 g) makes it feel ultra-realistic for full driver swings (in my opinion), though you may experience arm fatigue during longer sessions.
Final Verdict
If you value adjustable feel, premium construction, and reliable tracking, the YEZRO Y28 is easily one of the best VR golf club attachments available.
The dual-length design makes it versatile for both large and small play areas, and the weight-tuning system lets you personalize the swing to match your real-world clubs.
It’s not the cheapest, but the metal build, twist-lock system, and thoughtful 90° cup design make it worth every penny in my opinion.
